Orange pork


For orange pork, you will need:

8 pork loin chops

1 onion, thinly sliced

juice of 1 orange

1 tbsp grated orange zest

1 heaped tbsp sugar

2 tbsp white vinegar

4 tbsp dark soya sauce

3 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced

handful of chopped fresh coriander

1 tbsp white sesame seeds

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

4 tbsp oil

water

(serves 4)

In a large lidded wok, heat the oil and brown the pork loin on the outside. Add the onion and fry for 5 minutes. Add the garlic, soya sauce, sugar , vinegar, juice, salt and pepper and enough water to juice cover the pork. Cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Stir in the orange zest, transfer to serving dish and sprinkle sesame seeds and coriander on top. Serve with steamed rice.
